Director, Medical Science Liaison – Plastics & Regenerative Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead, provide strategic guidance, and manage operations for a team of six MSL professionals.

• Serve as the primary MSL for a small, dedicated territory while maintaining an active field presence.

• Ensure the team is properly staffed, trained, and has a clear understanding of role expectations.

• Implement stakeholder engagement plans for MSL activities.

• Manage performance evaluation processes, including plans for professional growth and development.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in health sciences or a clinical discipline is mandatory.

• Preferred: Doctorate level degree (e.g., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD).

• At least 5 years of experience in clinical, scientific/research, or the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 2 years as an MSL.

• Strong preference for prior line management experience with a field-based MSL team; experience as a player-coach or working manager is highly advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills in the local language and English are preferred.

• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at once.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across various functions.

• Experience in managing and resolving complex personnel issues.

• Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 50–60%) to facilitate direct engagement with KOLs in the territory and support team co-rides/coaching activities across the MSL team's region.

• Familiarity with OR/surgical suite environments and understanding of credentialing and OR certification processes is strongly preferred, particularly considering the focus on Plastics & Regenerative Medicine.

• Proven capability to handle operational and administrative tasks (e.g., expense approvals, vendor contracts, tool and resource management) while engaging actively in field duties.
