Director, Medical Affairs – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Responsible for overseeing Investigator Initiated Study and Research Grant programs across the region.

• Establish priorities for the Global Abbott HF ISS strategy.

• Accountable for medical affairs contributions to professional education at the physician level concerning advanced HF, MCS, and hemodynamic management.

• Collaborate with professional societies to enhance awareness and understanding of advanced HF and hemodynamic management.

• Support commercial and marketing teams with strategic interactions with customers and KOLs as required.

• Lead and facilitate internal educational initiatives related to HF.

• Provide insights to R&D regarding all aspects and stages of the product portfolio.

• Aid clinical affairs in driving Abbott-led trials and ensure regional representation in vital evidence generation within the field of HF.

• Manage off-label discussions with clinicians in the OUS region.

• Assist market access with clinical insights into reimbursement processes OUS.

• Represent Abbott HF Medical Affairs in communications with regulatory bodies.

• Support investigation teams by offering medical input as necessary.

• Provide medical assistance for reporting to regulatory authorities when required.

• Responsible for updating medical affairs procedural documents and submitting change requests as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD degree with at least 8 years of clinical experience in the cardiovascular disease field.

• Required experience in medical research and scientific publishing.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory; proficiency in any additional language is an advantage.
