Director, Medical Affairs – Medical Scientific Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance the regional field medical strategy within the designated territory.

• Lead the delivery of top-notch scientific and clinical presentations regarding disease states and Iovance products.

• Strategically identify, map, and profile external experts.

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and clinical investigators.

• Establish and uphold high standards for the quality of insights.

• Provide scientific leadership for Medical Affairs activities and scientific sessions at major congresses and meetings.

• Foster strong cross-functional collaborations to ensure the coordinated execution of the medical plan.

• Exemplify inclusive and professional leadership behaviors while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

• Utilize robust problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills to tackle complex field challenges.

• Exhibit extensive scientific and clinical expertise along with executive presence.

• Offer leadership and coaching while contributing to the development of field medical capabilities.

• Operate in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Carry out miscellaneous duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 to 15+ years of pertinent experience in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

• An advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD).

• Proven capability in needs assessment, facilitation, prioritization, decision making, collaboration, planning and organizing, execution, and follow-up.

• Strong skills in meeting management and operational capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders within a complex matrix environment.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within set timelines.

• Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
