Director – Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on targets, the competitive landscape, and valuation context within your subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives within your established network.

• Evaluate confidential information memoranda and management presentations to assess sector-specific operational fit and risk.

• Engage in private equity sponsor pitches when your subsector expertise and operational background are pertinent.

• Offer operational due diligence insights on prospective companies.

• Guide the Fireclay team regarding positioning and messaging for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a Plant Manager, VP of Operations, Division President, COO, or CEO in a manufacturing platform, preferably with private equity-backed experience.

• Over twenty years in industrial manufacturing operations across various sites or product lines.

• Proven experience in continuous improvement, capacity expansion, capital expenditure deployment, and the operational factors that contribute to multiple expansions in private equity platforms.

• An established network of relationships with founders, family owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals within your subsector.

• Confidence in representing Fireclay in a professional capacity to private equity sponsors and target company management.

• Ability to handle non-public information and competitive intelligence with discretion.

• Willingness to work on a flexible, per-engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments.
