This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Oversee significant client engagements with state and local government entities, ensuring exceptional delivery and measurable results.
• Act as a reliable advisor to senior governmental stakeholders, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of agency operations, policies, budgeting, and procurement processes.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships across agencies, legislative bodies, and affiliated organizations to pinpoint and develop new opportunities.
• Spearhead business development initiatives, including pipeline development, capture strategies, proposal creation, and client presentations.
• Guide account planning activities and proactively seek new work in alignment with Guidehouse’s strategic objectives.
• Convert client requirements into actionable solutions by integrating strategy, operations, and technological capabilities.
• Conduct workshops, executive briefings, and stakeholder meetings to synchronize priorities and promote initiatives.
• Recognize and implement program and operational enhancements for clients, particularly in intricate, multi-stakeholder settings.
• Lead and mentor project teams, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development for junior and mid-level staff.
• Efficiently manage project resources, budgets, and timelines to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Over 10 years of experience in public sector environments, with a minimum of 5 years supporting State & Local Government clients or working within government.
• Proven experience in Pennsylvania and/or Maryland state and local government, including knowledge of agency operations, budgeting, and procurement processes.
• Extensive professional network within state agencies, local governments, and/or legislative bodies in Harrisburg, PA, and/or Annapolis/Baltimore, MD.
• Established ability to cultivate relationships, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex government landscapes.
• Experience in leading programs or initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders, agencies, or external partners.
• Demonstrated success in business development, including identifying opportunities, shaping deals, and assisting with proposal efforts.
• Capacity to function in a client-facing, commercially focused role, balancing delivery and growth responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Experience in managing projects and leading teams, including junior and mid-level personnel.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver executive-level presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel to client and Guidehouse locations as necessary to support delivery and business development activities.
