Director, Learning Experience Design, Math

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Advocate for the educational vision regarding mathematics throughout the math portfolio.

• Establish high standards for effectiveness, creativity, usability, and enjoyment.

• Lead the creation of engaging instructional materials that reflect learning science principles.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Creative Services, and other stakeholders.

• Mentor and assist your team in developing content for educational resources.

• Develop comprehensive frameworks for content production and feedback collection.

• Produce learning design briefs, logic models, and aid in post-release research efforts.

• Oversee, mentor, and motivate LXD team members while promoting an inclusive culture.

• Manage capacity planning, project budgets, and relationships with external vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 8 years of experience in learning experience design or educational content creation.

• At least 3 years of leading or managing teams in a fast-paced, iterative product development setting.

• Minimum of 3 years of K-12 classroom teaching experience or relevant applied experience.

• Proven track record of utilizing data, analytics, and co-design to inform product iterations and design choices.

• Successful history of conceptualizing and implementing highly engaging, interactive digital learning experiences.

• In-depth understanding of national/state academic standards and the K-12 competitive landscape.

• Leadership experience in an EdTech firm or contemporary educational publishing organization.

• Familiarity with designing specifically for digital platforms.
