This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +10 more states.
• Oversee enterprise-level IT portfolio governance while acting as the operational lead for the PMO in the Fixed-Site imaging sector.
• Take ownership of and enhance the enterprise IT intake, governance, and prioritization processes across all business divisions.
• Design and lead portfolio steering committees and gate review meetings.
• Maintain a unified view of the portfolio, including active projects, pipeline demands, resource allocation, and risk management for executive and Board-level reporting.
• Collaborate with IT Leadership and Finance on capital budgeting, business case formulation, and tracking ROI at the portfolio level.
• Establish and refine portfolio management standards, templates, processes, and tools.
• Facilitate prioritization discussions using transparent, data-driven criteria.
• Lead the IT delivery portfolio for Fixed-Site imaging centers.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects and programs including RIS/PACS, patient portals, interoperability/USCDI, infrastructure, and application delivery, from initiation to closure.
• Manage project delivery in collaboration with vendor partners.
• Utilize Agile, hybrid, and traditional project management methodologies; conduct sprint and PI-level ceremonies as appropriate.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications; escalate portfolio-level risks and resource conflicts as needed.
• Create and maintain program dashboards and reporting schedules for Fixed-Site operations, IT, and clinical leadership.
• Provide guidance to IT, Operations, Clinical, and Patient Services leaders regarding delivery capacity and prioritization decisions.
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• More than 8 years of experience in IT Program/Project Management, including a minimum of 3 years in a Portfolio Management or PMO leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise-level intake, governance, and prioritization processes across various business units.
• Strong practical experience in program/project delivery, rather than solely a strategic or oversight background.
• Proficient in traditional PMO methodologies (waterfall, PMI/PMBOK) as well as Agile/SAFe delivery techniques (PI Planning, ARTs, backlog management, OKRs).
• Proven ability to balance competing stakeholder priorities and communicate effectively with executive-level audiences.
• Experience in developing and presenting portfolio dashboards, roadmaps, and executive reporting materials.
• Background in the healthcare industry, preferably in diagnostic imaging, radiology, or outpatient clinical operations.
• Familiarity with RIS/PACS, EHR conversion initiatives, imaging patient portals, or healthcare interoperability standards (such as USCDI, HL7/FHIR).
• Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe (RTE/POPM), or their equivalents.
• Experience in establishing or enhancing a PMO function within a healthcare or multi-site operational context.
• Proficiency with enterprise PPM tools (e.g., Jira/Jira Align, ServiceNow SPM, Planview, MS Project/Project Online).
