This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a representative of the HEOR team within Medical Strategy Teams to develop medical and HEOR strategies that demonstrate product value to payers, clinical decision-makers, and patients.
• Actively generate and convey evidence essential for optimizing patient access and enhancing the value of Novartis products in the US market.
• Exhibit medical leadership by aligning strategically with other areas and proactively proposing innovative ideas within cross-functional teams.
• Oversee multiple HEOR projects, manage associated budgets, and collaborate with both internal and external partners while ensuring scientific rigor and stakeholder alignment.
• Establish strong institutional and individual partnerships as required.
• Effectively relay significant research findings to various audiences.
• Publish and present influential research at scientific conferences and forums.
• Collaborate efficiently with internal stakeholders at both strategic and tactical levels to shape research partnerships and produce robust HEOR findings that support external stakeholders, including SOCs and payers.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance task efficiency, generate content, and support decision-making, showcasing practical fluency in prompting, interpreting, and refining AI outputs to enhance work quality and efficiency.
• An advanced degree (Master’s or doctorate) in health economics, statistics, epidemiology, health policy, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, ideally in health economics, market access, or related functions/fields, is required.
• Significant experience in shaping HEOR and RWE strategy and hands-on execution for both inline and pipeline products is necessary.
• Candidates must have consistently demonstrated the ability to lead, execute, and drive excellence in cross-functional teams within their direct area of responsibility and across their organization.
• Expert knowledge of Health Economics, Outcomes Research, and Real-World Evidence, including study design, methodologies, modeling, data sources, and analyses, is essential.
• In-depth understanding of the US healthcare financing and delivery system, the US payer environment, evolving trends, and the competitive landscape is required.
• A PhD or PharmD with a strong focus in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in engaging or partnering with external organizations (e.g., SOCs, payers, universities, value assessors, regulatory agencies, etc.) is highly preferred.
