Director, Head of Execution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of a low-latency, high-throughput Algorithmic Trading / Smart Order Router system.

• Implement intelligent routing algorithms focused on execution quality, liquidity, latency, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate with traders and product managers to enhance routing logic and develop new algorithmic features.

• Integrate the Smart Order Router with the trading, booking, and reporting systems.

• Monitor and optimize system performance in real-world trading environments.

• Mentor junior developers, uphold code quality standards, and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Provide support for production trading issues and continually enhance system resilience and failover strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing routing strategies for specific markets (e.g., U.S. equities, EU markets, crypto exchanges).

• Proficient in tick data analytics and real-time market data processing.

• Familiar with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployment models.

• Experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments.

• Skilled in building low-latency systems and working with multicast/unicast market data feeds.

• Strong understanding of the application stack and infrastructure related to electronic and algorithmic trading.

• Solid technical background with the capability to comprehend system architecture and technical workflows.

• Proficient in FIX protocol and the architecture of trading systems (OMS/EMS, market gateways).

• Knowledgeable in concurrency, networking, and memory management.

• Experience with Linux systems and performance profiling tools.

• A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
