This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the global and US tax planning and compliance for the legal entities of ICAT Logistics.
• Enhance global tax positions while ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor developments in US and international tax law to pinpoint risks and opportunities.
• Spearhead cross-functional projects related to transfer pricing, global tax structuring, entity rationalization, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Formulate and execute tax strategies that support restructuring, business realignment, and transaction preparedness.
• Deliver technical analysis and advice on entity structure, capital management, and intercompany transactions.
• Collaborate with Treasury and Finance on strategies for cross-border cash flow, intercompany settlements, and repatriation activities.
• Advocate for process automation and data analytics to enhance tax efficiency and transparency.
• Act as a tax subject matter expert throughout the organization.
• Oversee the calculation, documentation, and review of the global transfer pricing policy.
• Ensure compliance with corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax across various jurisdictions.
• Review and endorse tax workpapers, supporting schedules, journal entries, accruals, payments, and refunds.
• Prepare global income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP, including quarterly and annual calculations.
• Supervise international tax compliance, covering Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, 163(j), 987, and FTC calculations.
• Coordinate foreign tax compliance with external advisors and maintain documentation for foreign subsidiaries.
• Lead BEPS compliance efforts, including Country-by-Country Reporting and Pillar II GloBE minimum tax.
• Oversee quarterly and year-end income tax accounting for non-US operations under IFRS, US GAAP, and local standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for global tax audits and manage controversy issues.
• Guide geographically diverse finance teams, promoting collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee relationships with external tax advisors and vendors.
• Assist with staff goal-setting, coaching, mentoring, training, meetings, metrics, performance evaluations, rewards, disciplinary actions, recruiting, and hiring.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is mandatory.
• CPA or MBA is preferred.
• At least 8 years of international tax and US tax experience in a CPA firm or corporate tax department.
• Minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Great Plains.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting principles under US GAAP.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing income tax provisions.
• Knowledge of global tax compliance matters, including transfer pricing and international tax regulations.
• Experience managing vendor and leadership interactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Capability to analyze data and discern trends.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset focused on process improvement.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Direct supervision and responsibility for staff performance.
• Competence in recruiting and hiring staff and conducting performance evaluations.
