Director, Global Sourcing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with our instrument operations leaders to deliver strategic sourcing expertise to our global procurement teams.

• Establishing strategic partnerships with current suppliers, discovering new suppliers, enhancing supplier performance, and fostering redundancy and resilience within our instrument supply chain.

• Managing approximately $150M in expenditures.

• Utilizing negotiation skills to focus on price productivity, optimization of cash flow terms, inventory management, supply assurance, quality, and delivery.

• Formulating, implementing, and executing procurement strategies, processes, and policies.

• Identifying key suppliers and providing recommendations based on technological advancements.

• Engaging in risk management and driving initiatives for risk mitigation and alternative sourcing.

• Coordinating regular business reviews to consistently evaluate suppliers against established KPIs.

• Conducting data analysis to suggest methods for maximizing or optimizing expenditure.

• Ensuring adherence to safety standards, ISO/regulatory requirements, and company guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Life Sciences and Diagnostics across various functions and multiple areas of Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Strategy, including cross-functional exposure in other areas.

• A proven track record in leading a strategic procurement function within a global context.

• Experience with indirect spend is preferred.

• At least 5 years of functional and disciplinary leadership experience.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain / Operations Management or equivalent experience is required, with a Master's degree preferred.
