This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Identify and source leisure/transient business to optimize room revenue for Auberge Collection.
• Assist Auberge Collection in achieving revenue objectives by generating leisure transient business.
• Contribute to hotel revenue targets by producing leisure group/transient business.
• Collaborate with tourism organizations to enhance opportunities.
• Organize and plan direct sales initiatives via phone, email, virtually, and in-person; an average of 5 business development activities per day is expected (25 per week).
• Target key accounts to arrange familiarization trips aimed at increasing ROI.
• Assess and initiate opportunities for creating new business sources.
• Cultivate effective relationships with wholesale accounts that align with the hotel’s wholesale strategy.
• Support and engage in daily calls and property-specific calls as required.
• Accurately maintain and expand the Salesforce database of clients.
• Set up a suitable remote workstation.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards in sales service.
• Present a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company.
• Maintain relationships with customers, trade, industry, and team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, developed, or directed.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• At least 8 years of sales experience with established connections in the region, in a related role within a luxury hotel sales and/or regional setting.
• Proven track record of driving sales revenues in luxury hotel environments.
• Ability to negotiate, persuade, sell, and influence decision-makers and influencers in the transient business sector.
• Capacity to research and identify key growth prospects for existing accounts and develop new accounts.
• Self-motivated with the ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in managing large volumes of information.
• Skilled in analyzing, interpreting, and comprehending financial data.
• Knowledgeable about sales procedures relevant to the hotel industry.
• Ability to present clear, concise, and meaningful information to guests, executives, managers, and employees.
• Capable of persuasively and energetically selling ideas.
• Excellent writing skills sufficient for creating sales and marketing communications.
• Strong customer relationship skills with luxury travel agencies and consortia.
• Proficient in computer applications (GSuite, LinkedIn, Delphi, Salesforce, MS Office Suite).
• Ability to plan and execute sales trips within budget and in compliance with corporate travel policies.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible days and hours (holding appropriate travel documents, e.g., driver's license, Real ID, and passport).
• Experience in selling US, European, and Mexico resort destinations in a luxury sales context.
• Experience representing resorts with residential and villa offerings.
• Experience working in a remote sales office environment.
• Experience collaborating with professional organizations that support the leisure travel industry.
• Preferred technical skills: Familiarity with GDS and Opera PMS.
