This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Act as the primary owner of the performance for Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operational facilities.
• Enhance asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and lifecycle value by collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology partners.
• Provide strategic technical guidance, foster continuous improvement, and establish enterprise standards to guarantee top-tier performance of Divert's gas assets.
• Own the comprehensive strategy for gas handling and RNG assets, encompassing gas collection, compression, upgrading, CO2 removal, gas quality, pipeline injection, flares, analyzers, and associated utility systems.
• Work closely with Operations and Maintenance to enhance RNG performance by formulating enterprise standards for operation, maintenance, commissioning, critical spare parts, preventive maintenance, operating procedures, and asset documentation.
• Set up and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks across all operational facilities, recognizing trends and disseminating best practices throughout the organization.
• Create a long-term roadmap for gas asset performance, which includes lifecycle planning, equipment standardization, technology selection, and capital improvement recommendations.
• Lead root cause analyses for significant production losses and equipment failures, coordinating internal teams and external partners to execute permanent corrective actions and ensure vendors are accountable for performance, warranty, and service quality.
• Oversee external engineering resources to ensure that work is well-defined, technically sound, and in alignment with Divert's enterprise standards.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or similar process facilities.
• Proven track record of enhancing operational performance across multiple facilities.
• Experience in influencing cross-functional organizations without possessing direct authority.
• Experience managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.
• Strong knowledge of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and business acumen with the capability to translate technical issues into operational and capital priorities.
