Director, Gas Asset Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary owner for the performance of Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operational facilities.

• This position is accountable for optimizing asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and lifecycle value by collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology partners.

• Provide strategic technical guidance, promote continuous improvement, establish enterprise standards, and ensure that Divert's gas assets attain best-in-class performance.

• Oversee the enterprise strategy for gas handling and RNG assets, which includes gas collection, compression, upgrading, CO2 removal, gas quality management, pipeline injection, flares, analyzers, and related utility systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or similar process facilities.

• Proven track record of enhancing operational performance across multiple facilities.

• Experience in influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Background in managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.

• Strong grasp of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and business acumen skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into operational and capital priorities.
