Director, Gas Asset Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary owner of the performance for Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operational facilities.

• Responsible for optimizing asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and overall lifecycle value.

• Provide strategic technical guidance, foster continuous improvement, and set enterprise standards.

• Own the overarching strategy for gas handling and RNG assets, collaborating closely with Operations and Maintenance teams.

• Establish and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks for all operational facilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or similar processing facilities.

• Proven track record of enhancing operational performance across multiple facilities.

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Experience in managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.

• Strong knowledge of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and business acumen, with the capacity to convert technical challenges into operational and capital priorities.
