Director, Financial Wellness – Retirement Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a dedicated resource for designated retirement plans, participants, and client relationships by providing continuous financial education and support to participants.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and employer groups to create and implement educational initiatives aimed at improving participant engagement, retirement readiness, and plan usage.

• Conduct educational meetings in both group and individual formats, including workshops, webinars, enrollment sessions, and personalized consultations covering topics such as retirement planning, investment basics, debt management, budgeting, and financial wellness.

• Offer comprehensive financial guidance and assist individuals in assessing their next steps regarding investments, insurance, tax awareness, and long-term financial strategies.

• Identify circumstances that require specialized support and facilitate introductions to Mariner’s wealth management or advisory experts as needed.

• Aid participants in converting financial concepts into actionable steps that align with their personal objectives and enhance their long-term financial confidence.

• Engage in client review meetings, prospective client presentations, and strategic growth initiatives that align with the organization's retirement and wealth goals.

• Ensure a high level of service delivery, responsiveness, and follow-through while managing various priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Maintain regular travel within the assigned territory, which includes in-person client meetings and educational events.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least ten years of experience in financial services, retirement plans, participant education, or wealth management.

• In-depth knowledge of qualified retirement plans, investment principles, and personal financial planning concepts.

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to travel 60% of the time.

• Possession of FINRA series license 65, 66 CFP or equivalent financial planning licensure.
