This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take on the primary responsibility for all essential accounting functions, ensuring that appropriate internal controls are established and that all transactions and journal entries are processed accurately and promptly.
• Generate monthly financial reports in accordance with GAAP for Management and the Board of Directors, which includes variance analysis against the budget and finance-related reports for government agencies as required.
• Assist in operational forecasts and updates on cash flow.
• Accountable for month-end and year-end closing processes, along with progress reporting on key performance indicators.
• Oversee the formulation of the annual business plan, inclusive of staffing strategies and budgets, in alignment with Navitus’ strategic and business objectives.
• Manage the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, utilizing ERP analytics for variance assessments.
• Supervise audits and collaborate with external auditors to guarantee timely completion.
• Maintain records related to investments and conduct periodic performance analyses.
• Keep detailed fixed asset accounting records, including custodial details.
• Facilitate accounting and project activities related to mergers, acquisitions, investments, banking relationships, partnerships, and divestitures.
• Act as the main point of contact for auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate the annual financial audit along with the financial components of other audits pertaining to Navitus’ operations.
• Perform comprehensive financial and operational analyses to identify trends, reveal opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing profitability and optimizing cost efficiency.
• Engage in multi-departmental task forces to enhance cross-functional activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is mandatory.
• A Master’s degree in accounting or a related discipline is preferred.
• Certification as a Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desired.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a third-party administrator operation related to healthcare is required.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams is necessary.
• Demonstrated proficiency in GAAP/IFRS compliance and financial reporting standards is essential.
• Proven advanced experience in utilizing financial analytics tools and related software is required.
• Experience with automated billing platforms and their integration with ERP systems is required.
