This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K disclosures.
• Assist in the earnings release process.
• Oversee ongoing filings for federal and state regulators, government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), warehouse lenders, investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Research and document accounting conclusions for intricate matters, including mortgage servicing rights, securitizations, debt transactions, acquisitions, fair value assessments, and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and oversee statutory reports for subsidiaries.
• Act as a primary contact for external auditors, legal counsel, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, SOX Compliance, Accounting Operations, and operational teams on internal controls related to financial reporting.
• Lead the creation of executive-level financial reporting packages, board support materials, earnings support, and management reporting deliverables.
• Promote process improvement, standardization, and automation throughout financial reporting processes.
• Advocate for best practices in reporting documentation, review procedures, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead, mentor, and develop professionals in financial reporting.
• Foster cross-functional relationships within Finance and related business teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• At least 3–5 years of leadership experience in managing accounting or financial reporting teams.
• Experience with public company and SEC reporting is essential.
• Advanced understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Ability to research and resolve intricate accounting issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to prepare financial statement disclosures and convey complex information to senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must successfully complete the Company’s Background Screening process prior to employment.
