This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the CFO as a reliable partner on financial strategy, processes, analysis, and daily decision-making support throughout the organization.
• Take ownership of the annual budget by establishing the timeline, facilitating departmental contributions, consolidating information, and presenting the plan to leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance cash forecasts and liquidity assessments.
• Manage the company’s Planful environment, including financial models, templates, and reporting mechanisms.
• Create board presentations, quarterly report packages, and executive documentation.
• Build and oversee the company’s cap table, while assisting with equity, financing, and scenario analyses.
• Collaborate with leaders across various entities, events, and venues to ensure consistency, organization, and transparency in financial data.
• Interpret budgets, forecasts, and financial concepts for creative and production teams.
• Scrutinize inputs and rectify any flawed or inconsistent data before it is presented to leadership.
• Supervise and develop one senior direct report.
• Lead cross-functional finance projects from initial scoping to final delivery.
• Work together with the West Coast accounting team to ensure alignment between planning and financial records.
• 12–15 years of progressive experience in FP&A, including a senior leadership position.
• Background in companies with annual revenues between $50M and $200M.
• Direct experience within the live events sector.
• Proven ability to establish financial structures and processes in highly decentralized, multi-entity organizations.
• Experience as the primary leader for the annual budgeting process.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing and managing cash forecasts.
• Expert-level knowledge of Planful (mandatory).
• Practical experience with Ramp and NetSuite.
• Based on the East Coast, with the ability to coordinate with a West Coast accounting team across different time zones.
• CFA designation is highly preferred.
• Experience on Wall Street in investment banking, equity research, or capital markets is preferred.
• Experience in building and maintaining cap tables is preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills to make financial information accessible to non-financial and creative audiences.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to support an executive team and board effectively.
• Persistent problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, with a strong preference for structure in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Keen attention to data integrity and accuracy.
• Low-ego collaboration skills across finance, operations, and creative teams.
