Director, Field Access Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction and operational management to a nationwide team of zone access managers (ZAMs)

• Ensure patients have access to company products by creating and implementing access and reimbursement strategies

• Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) regarding coverage and coding

• Address access challenges within a complicated healthcare environment

• Act as a primary subject matter expert on the payer landscape

• Collaborate across departments with internal stakeholders to align field activities with overall brand and business goals

• Recruit, train, and nurture a high-performing ZAM team

• Maintain extensive knowledge of the evolving regional and local access and payer landscape

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is preferred

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in field reimbursement, patient services, market access, or related roles within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or equivalent experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Access and Reimbursement Manager or 3 years of field-based first-line leadership experience

• Proven ability to lead without direct authority

• Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills

• Extensive experience in navigating payer policies and an understanding of payer processes and systems for specialty products

• Comprehensive knowledge of both medical and pharmacy benefits, coverage policies, buy-and-bill, and specialty pharmacy reimbursement pathways

• Willingness to travel up to 40%
