Director, Energy & Utilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement a growth strategy for the Utilities sector.

• Enhance existing client relationships while promoting sustainable revenue growth.

• Spearhead business development activities, encompassing opportunity qualification, solution strategy, proposal creation, pricing, and executive presentations.

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and practice leaders on industry offerings, thought leadership, strategic alliances, and go-to-market strategies.

• Develop and expand the practice by identifying capability gaps, recruiting consulting talent, mentoring consultants, and establishing operational procedures.

• Offer executive oversight and strategic direction for Utilities consulting engagements.

• Act as the executive sponsor and senior advisor on significant client projects.

• Work with delivery teams to guarantee high-quality, timely, and in-scope project execution that delivers measurable business value.

• Provide subject matter expertise to strategic client initiatives.

• Maintain selective billability on high-impact projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in consulting or professional services.

• Extensive experience with utility clients.

• In-depth understanding of the utility industry's business, operational, regulatory, and technological frameworks.

• Proven experience leading consulting projects in AI & Analytics, Digital Transformation, Strategy & Operations, Technology & Cloud, Grid Modernization, or similar fields.

• Capability to link industry challenges to business and technology solutions.

• Demonstrated success in developing executive-level client relationships and expanding consulting opportunities.

• Proficient in managing the complete business development process, including opportunity qualification, solution development, proposals, pricing, presentations, and contract negotiations.

• Established track record of growing accounts, capabilities, or consulting practices.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams and mentoring managers, consultants, and technical professionals.

• Ability to balance growth and delivery responsibilities effectively.

• Strong executive presence along with excellent communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
