This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• Oversee the regional financial strategy team leads, encompassing expectations, timelines, progress updates, and performance assessments.
• Manage the workload, projects, and staffing strategies for assigned analysts and clients.
• Offer feedback and foster the professional development of service team members.
• Engage in the recruitment of direct reports and departmental personnel.
• Facilitate national financial strategy service meetings and design training curricula.
• Identify and execute quality standards, best practices, peer review criteria, and enhancements in service delivery.
• Mentor financial strategists while promoting associate development and local expertise growth.
• Collaborate with market leaders and national leadership to uphold work quality.
• Introduce innovative products and services in conjunction with established financial strategy processes.
• Review and mentor work for complex self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured clients.
• Create and present standards for benchmarking, financial analysis, underwriting projections, contribution analysis, self-funded decision support, and IBNR.
• Examine book-of-business trends and client/prospect needs, relaying insights to leadership and strategic partners.
• Assist with marketing template revisions, RFP submissions, data management, and intricate marketing evaluations.
• Conduct financial analysis for fully insured, TPA, stop loss, and PBM offerings.
• Negotiate with national carrier partners and cultivate relationships with carriers/vendors.
• Establish communication strategies for presenting financial strategy to clients.
• Advocate for new initiatives and growth opportunities to national and market leadership.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in management or leadership roles.
• Must secure and maintain a Life and Health license through ongoing education requirements.
• Some travel is required, approximately once a month.
• Responsible for implementing the benefit division’s strategic direction regarding analytic solutions and tools.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt existing methodologies and introduce new initiatives.
• Capability to manage and mentor seasoned professionals.
• Ensure accuracy in analysis and adherence to peer review best practices.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure, across multiple workstreams, and with tight deadlines.
