This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for diagnostic programs focused on IHC and NGS, particularly for targeted therapies and immuno-oncology agents.
β’ Act as a strategic thought partner to senior executives and R&D leadership within biopharma firms, fostering trust and alignment both strategically and scientifically.
β’ Lead business development efforts by managing diagnostic partnerships from the initial evaluation stage through to deal closure.
β’ Create partnership value propositions that combine our scientific strengths with the commercial requirements of biopharma clients.
β’ Supervise the execution of joint go-to-market strategies, ensuring synchronization on launch schedules, geographical focus, messaging, and field deployment.
β’ Enhance external materials to effectively convey the advantages of our diagnostic solutions to clinicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and payers.
β’ Lead diagnostic partnerships and serve as a primary escalation point, ensuring consistent communication between internal teams and partner organizations.
β’ MS or PhD in molecular biology, genomics, oncology, or a related discipline.
β’ At least 8 years of professional work experience.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in the molecular diagnostics, biopharma, or precision medicine sectors, with a specific emphasis on diagnostics and oncology.
β’ A proven track record in business development (e.g., deal sheet) leading due diligence and complex, organization-wide efforts to establish partnerships with biopharma.
β’ Knowledge of transactions (e.g., contracting, deal sheets, multi-tier/multi-constituent decision making, etc.).
β’ Demonstrated experience managing or supporting biopharma partnerships that involve NGS or biomarker-driven initiatives.
β’ Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic development, biomarker strategies, and regulatory pathways for diagnostics in global markets.
β’ Exceptional communication, negotiation, and program leadership abilities.
β’ An MBA or equivalent commercial experience is highly desirable.
β’ Experience in business development or alliance management is preferred.
β’ In-depth knowledge of NGS technologies (panel-based, whole exome/genome, RNAseq) and their clinical applications in oncology.
β’ Experience with both LDT and IVD business models in a partner-driven environment.
β’ Familiarity with clinical trial design, biomarker assay development, and the evolving landscape of personalized medicine.
