This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for IHC and NGS-based diagnostic programs related to targeted therapies and immuno-oncology agents.
• Act as a strategic thought partner for senior executives and R&D leadership within biopharma companies, nurturing trust and ensuring strategic and scientific alignment.
• Take the lead in business development by managing diagnostic partnerships from initial evaluation through to deal closure.
• Establish partnership value propositions by aligning our scientific capabilities with the commercial requirements of biopharma clients.
• Supervise the execution of joint go-to-market strategies, ensuring synchronization on launch schedules, geographical targets, messaging, and field deployment.
• Assist in enhancing external materials that effectively convey the value of our diagnostic solutions to clinicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and payers.
• Lead diagnostic partnerships and serve as a primary escalation point, ensuring consistent communication between internal stakeholders and partner organizations.
• MS or PhD in molecular biology, genomics, oncology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in the molecular diagnostics, biopharma, or precision medicine fields, with a distinct emphasis on diagnostics and oncology.
• Demonstrated business development success (e.g., deal sheet) leading due diligence processes and complex organization-wide initiatives to establish partnerships with biopharma.
• Knowledge of transactions (e.g., contracting, deal sheets, multi-tier/multi-constituent decision making, etc.).
• Experience representing the organization externally, leading and participating in business development partnering events (e.g., JPM, BIO) and oncology conferences.
• Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic development, biomarker strategies, and regulatory pathways for diagnostics in global markets.
