This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
β’ Define the visual identity of the United Football League and its eight teams.
β’ Establish and continuously refine the visual guiding principles for the UFL and all eight teams.
β’ Oversee creative direction across marketing, digital and social media, partnerships, retail, communications, events, and fan engagement.
β’ Manage league and team campaigns, advertising, sponsorship, co-branded initiatives, merchandise and retail, gameday graphics, presentations, environmental graphics, and experiential design.
β’ Lead the UFL's external creative agency as an integrated extension of the internal team.
β’ Develop and safeguard scalable brand systems, encompassing standards, guidelines, templates, toolkits, and other resources.
β’ Ensure consistency and quality across league and team creative efforts while maintaining distinct team identities.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing, Social Media, Video Production, Content, Communications, Consumer Products, and Partnerships.
β’ Craft clear creative briefs that outline objectives, target audiences, messages, and desired outcomes.
β’ Deliver specific and actionable creative feedback.
β’ Prioritize projects, oversee budgets and resources, and coordinate multiple initiatives and deadlines.
β’ Enhance creative workflows and processes.
β’ Stay updated on trends within sports, entertainment, fashion, technology, and design.
β’ Assess emerging AI-driven creative tools and workflows.
β’ Report directly to the SVP, Creative & Content.
β’ 8β10+ years of experience in brand, design, creative agency, sports, entertainment, or consumer marketing sectors.
β’ Proven experience in leading creative agencies and multidisciplinary creative teams.
β’ An exceptional portfolio that highlights brand identity systems, integrated marketing campaigns, and high-level creative direction.
β’ Demonstrated ability in building scalable brand systems, creative processes, and brand governance.
β’ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and contemporary design workflows.
β’ Strong understanding of typography, layout, motion, production, and visual storytelling.
β’ Experience in translating business and marketing objectives into engaging creative concepts and visual systems.
β’ Outstanding creative judgment.
β’ Capability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Strong executive presence and communication skills.
β’ Curiosity and a demonstrated interest in emerging AI-driven creative tools and workflows.
β’ Collaborative, solutions-focused leadership style.
β’ Flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
β’ Ability to travel minimally out of market (<20% travel).
β’ Capability to sit at a desk and frequently bend, move, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
β’ Ability to routinely perform light lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
