This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Define and advocate for KOHO's multichannel creative vision across campaigns, product storytelling, content, events, and social media, while being accountable for business results.
• Conceptualize and produce significant creative pieces when necessary, embodying the role of a "player/coach."
• Lead and nurture a multidisciplinary creative team that includes art directors, designers, copywriters, and producers.
• Establish the creative benchmarks for all projects, offering clear guidance and feedback on both art direction and copy.
• Collaborate with product marketing to transform briefs into impactful creative concepts.
• Supervise photo and video shoots in partnership with the Studios team and freelance production crews.
• Brief and manage freelance talent and agency partners during peak campaign periods.
• Aid in developing creative processes, review timelines, and quality standards as the department expands.
• Present concepts and creative work to senior stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
• Create systems, processes, and review structures that facilitate high-quality creative output at scale.
• Oversee external agencies, freelancers, production partners, and photo/video shoots as required.
• Establish art direction and copy direction for campaigns, branding, web, product, video, events, and social media.
• 15+ years of experience leading creative teams and organizations in dynamic, fast-paced settings, with considerable time spent at agencies or in-house teams that operate like agencies.
• A portfolio that displays conceptual diversity across both copy and art direction, showcasing big ideas that resonate across various mediums.
• Experience navigating the marketing landscape, with a robust understanding of the overall objectives of the marketing department (beyond just creative).
• Capability to collaborate with product design to ensure consistency and visual harmony.
• Experience directing video and motion projects, not limited to static and copy-based work.
• An individual currently integrating AI into their creative processes.
• Proven track record of guiding and enhancing the skills of writers, art directors, and designers.
• Extensive expertise in copywriting, advertising, campaigns, content, and production.
• Strong creative instincts supported by a portfolio that demonstrates conceptual excellence across various channels and mediums.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering talent, and cultivating environments where creatives can thrive.
• Excellent organizational and operational skills, with the ability to structure teams, allocate resources, and establish effective workflows.
• Exceptional executive-level communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience directing video, motion, digital, and integrated campaign initiatives.
