This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the Strategic Account Management team.
• Set priorities, performance benchmarks, and ensure accountability for profitable sales growth and market share enhancement.
• Create and implement strategies for key distribution accounts.
• Oversee comprehensive strategic account plans that address growth opportunities, profitability goals, product priorities, competitive threats, and execution requirements.
• Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers.
• Direct significant customer negotiations, corporate contracts, pricing strategies, and business assessments.
• Collaborate with field sales leadership to execute corporate account strategies at regional, district, and branch levels.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer relationships, boost product penetration, fortify market position, and foster sustainable growth.
• Work in partnership with Pricing, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service.
• Utilize customer insights, financial performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence to shape account strategy.
• Track account performance and business metrics, ensuring the team meets commitments, KPIs, profitability, and growth targets.
• Advocate for a customer-centered, performance-oriented culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in sales, strategic account management, commercial leadership, or a similar field.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
• Successful management of large, complex, multi-location, or distribution-based customer relationships.
• Demonstrated capability to achieve profitable revenue growth.
• Proficiency in developing and executing strategic account plans.
• Strong business and financial insight.
• Ability to assess pricing, profitability, market dynamics, and customer opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
• Experience in influencing senior-level internal and external stakeholders.
• Capacity to lead through influence and collaborate effectively across various functions and organizational levels.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive-level relationship-building skills.
• Experience in the building materials, manufacturing, construction products, or distribution industry is highly preferred.
