This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full responsibility for the comprehensive management of contracts for 14TH and its associated portfolio companies.
• Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements including client contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, SOWs, license agreements, and other ad hoc agreements.
• Ensure that agreements effectively address risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and align with company objectives.
• Provide guidance to internal teams and senior leadership on contractual terms that impact project execution.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle from creation to negotiation, execution, storage, and retrieval.
• Direct and enhance the LinkSquares contract management system.
• Maintain well-organized contract records and streamline contract processes.
• Assist leadership with legal and compliance advice concerning government contracts, professional services, product agreements, and polling/vendor agreements.
• Develop and implement frameworks for legal requirements and data privacy compliance.
• Oversee privacy initiatives, conduct risk assessments, coordinate with stakeholders, and handle consumer rights requests.
• Manage the corporate insurance portfolio, including overseeing renewals, claims, and vendor relationships.
• Formulate operational policies, procedures, and best practices for legal operations.
• Monitor metrics for process enhancement and optimization.
• Train stakeholders on contract processes, legal terminology, and compliance responsibilities.
• Handle daily contracts and legal operations activities.
• Collaborate across functions to address contractual, operational, and compliance challenges.
• Execute other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
• Experience in professional services is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience managing contracts and legal operations in both public and private sector environments.
• Strong comprehension of legal terminology, compliance mandates, and risk management strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for translating complex legal concepts for business audiences.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience working with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Previous experience overseeing legal operations processes, compliance initiatives, or contract management systems is preferred.
