Director, Consumer Credit Portfolio Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the implementation of go-to-market strategies for Personal Loans, HELOC, Indirect Auto, and upcoming marketplace offerings.

• Cultivate executive relationships with CEOs, CFOs, Chief Lending Officers, Chief Credit Officers, and investment executives from banks and credit unions.

• Enhance marketplace originations through the formation of new institutional partnerships.

• Lead intricate commercial negotiations.

• Showcase how Upstart assets enhance yield, diversify portfolios, boost customer/member acquisition, and support strategic growth efforts.

• Present portfolio analytics, expected returns, and marketplace trends to senior management.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of Consumer Credit Portfolio Account Executives.

• Define sales strategies, market coverage, territory design, and performance benchmarks.

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.

• Create scalable commercial processes, executive messaging, account planning tools, and best practices that enhance team execution.

• Represent Upstart at industry conferences, executive forums, and trade associations.

• Position Upstart as the premier marketplace for consumer credit assets.

• Establish long-lasting executive relationships within the banking and credit union landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience collaborating with banks or credit unions in strategic partnerships, institutional sales, capital markets, lending, or financial services.

• Proven success in advising executive leaders on complex financial, lending, capital markets, or strategic partnership matters.

• Experience interacting with executive decision-makers such as CEOs, CFOs, Chief Lending Officers, Chief Credit Officers, and Boards.

• Strong knowledge of consumer lending products including Personal Loans, HELOC, Auto Lending, or Mortgages.

• Understanding of bank and credit union balance sheet management, capital deployment, portfolio strategy, or loan sales.

• Exceptional executive communication and presentation abilities.

• Capability to navigate complex organizations and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

• Self-motivated individual who excels in an entrepreneurial setting.

• Demonstrated success in building and leading a go-to-market team.
