This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage the Company’s Compliance and Ethics Program.
• Create an annual compliance work plan, a comprehensive compliance calendar, and oversee the Compliance and Ethics Committee.
• Supervise compliance risk assessment and monitoring initiatives.
• Conduct compliance audits and cultural assessments in high-risk areas.
• Administer the Compliance Hotline, including handling intake, triage, referrals, investigations, and resolutions.
• Lead investigations into alleged breaches of laws, regulations, and Company policies.
• Formulate, execute, and track corrective measures and remediation strategies.
• Identify compliance deficiencies and communicate findings to the General Counsel and executive leadership.
• Foster cross-functional relationships to align risk, compliance, and ethics efforts.
• Develop policies and reporting frameworks that promote the reporting of suspected non-compliance.
• Design and provide compliance training, educational resources, and awareness initiatives.
• Keep abreast of the regulatory landscape in educational technology and curriculum compliance.
• Prepare compliance reports and presentations for leadership, Board members, and investors.
• Oversee and mentor members of the Compliance and Ethics team.
• In-depth knowledge of compliance and ethics frameworks, including regulatory obligations related to educational technology, curriculum development, and pertinent federal and state laws and regulations.
• Capability to design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide compliance programs, including risk assessment methodologies, investigative protocols, monitoring systems, and corrective action tracking.
• Strong investigative abilities and experience in conducting or supervising intricate compliance investigations.
• Proven leadership skills and a track record in team development.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with legal, operational, and business leaders.
• Proficiency in translating complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance and training.
• Strong orientation towards data analytics, including case management data, trend analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and integrity in sensitive investigations and compliance issues.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) is required or expected to be achieved within 12 months of hire.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in compliance, ethics, legal, or regulatory roles.
• At least 3–5 years in a leadership or program management position overseeing a compliance function.
• Experience in designing and operationalizing enterprise-wide compliance programs.
• Experience in educational technology or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Experience managing compliance investigations from start to finish, including hotline management, case management, root cause analysis, and reporting.
• Experience in presenting to or developing materials for executive leadership, boards of directors, and/or investors.
