This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Deliver strategic guidance and operational management for a network of 65 retail pharmacies spanning 12 states.
• Align strategic initiatives with operational workflows, financial reporting, and performance indicators.
• Harmonize pharmacy operations and implement standardized best practices.
• Spearhead automation and technology initiatives.
• Assist in contracting efforts to enhance access to affordable medications.
• Lead, oversee, and promote the development of people, processes, and programs that support patient care.
• Execute strategic and operational projects, which include introducing new services, enhancing revenue, minimizing expenses, and optimizing managed care utilization strategies.
• Ensure excellence in performance regarding quality, safety, service, affordability, and technology.
• Supervise drug utilization management, pharmaceutical supply chain, and financial operations.
• Manage Community Pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to professional, regulatory, licensing, federal, and state regulations.
• Collaborate with executive leaders and healthcare teams to formulate strategies, objectives, and operational standards.
• Establish quality benchmarks, oversee assurance activities, and develop corrective action plans.
• Prepare operational and capital budgets; track KPIs and enact improvement measures.
• Foster business development, revenue integrity, 340B compliance, community benefit, and contracting optimization.
• Integrate technology and centralized support services.
• Support clinical pharmacy initiatives, drug-use enhancement, medication safety, and medication-use recommendations.
• Train, mentor, coach, and evaluate pharmacist competencies.
• Direct procurement, purchasing, receiving, storage, distribution, inventory, and dispensing functions.
• Analyze vendor agreements, engage in negotiations, and ensure compliance.
• Assess competitors, changes in third-party financing, and legislative proposals impacting operations.
• Plan, execute, and oversee marketing and advertising strategies to boost market penetration.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is mandatory.
• An advanced or Master's degree, such as a PharmD or MBA, is preferred.
• At least seven years of experience as a pharmacist is required.
• Minimum of seven years of management experience in Community Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist state licensure in one of the states where Trinity Health operates is essential.
• Must obtain state licensure in the employment state within 180 days of hire.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in motivating and empowering staff.
• Strong business acumen in both health systems and pharmacy practice.
• Excellent analytical and cognitive skills for budgeting, interpreting financial trends, problem-solving, and implementing processes.
• Capability to plan, develop, and implement pharmaceutical care programs and services.
• Proficient in identifying opportunities, facilitating work groups, and developing processes.
• Ability to build relationships across system, regional, and ministry levels.
• Awareness of current pharmacy practice trends and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Strong critical thinking and innovative strategy development skills.
• Skills in leadership, collaboration, customer service, team-building, and personnel management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and graphics or presentation software.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, compassion, and the ability to inspire others.
