📋 Description

• Enhance and rejuvenate the contract review process emphasizing AI-driven efficiency.

• Supervise the complete contract lifecycle from initiation and drafting to negotiation, execution, and termination.

• Conduct high-volume contract reviews for precision, completeness, adherence to policies, and legal compliance.

• Manage vendor contracts, which includes negotiating terms, monitoring performance, and resolving disputes.

• Lead and expand teams in a dynamic, high-growth setting.

• Oversee direct and skip-level reports, offering guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.

• Collaborate with enterprise revenue teams on sales and business development initiatives.

• Balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines while dealing with demanding stakeholders.

• Uphold a systems-oriented, process-driven approach to contract management.

• Design, create, and implement AI tools or agents for contract intake, drafting, redlining, clause extraction, and risk identification.

• Partner with engineering and legal operations to refine models, playbooks, and standards.

• Assess, select, and implement legal AI and CLM platforms while managing vendors, integrations, and performance metrics.

• Broaden AI adoption into compliance, privacy, and litigation support/eDiscovery.

• Define and monitor efficiency and quality metrics, including cycle time, accuracy, and cost savings.

• Report on AI initiative progress to legal and business leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Bar membership in good standing and licensed to practice law.

• Over 10 years of experience working within an in-house legal team or law firm.

• More than 10 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.

• Practical experience implementing or configuring AI/GenAI tools for legal work.

• Experience in building or fine-tuning AI agents for contract review, drafting, or negotiation.

• Familiarity with prompt engineering and assessing model outputs for accuracy and risk.

• Experience in evaluating and implementing legal AI or contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, including vendor oversight and system integrations.

• Working knowledge of AI governance and regulatory considerations, such as the EU AI Act, state-level AI laws, and data privacy requirements.

• Proven track record in people management and mentoring direct reports.

• Strong communication and legal skills for advising internal stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with company partners to finalize high-value deals and launch products.

• Capability to manage commercial contracting processes, support product development, oversee privacy law, and align business strategies with legal requirements.

• Ability to lead projects and design processes that automate and streamline high-velocity work.

• Must be licensed to practice law and maintain bar membership in good standing.
