This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Establish, cultivate, and support the designated Distributor network and regions.
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of Commercial Distribution Managers across multiple areas.
• Educate and demonstrate all facets of clinical business, procedures, and the capital sales process to distributors.
• Collaborate with distributors to create business plans that include quarterly forecasts of systems and procedures to meet or exceed targets set by senior management.
• Organize annual and quarterly business reviews with distribution partners, ensuring proper planning and follow-up communication.
• Coordinate and manage surgeon training activities through the Technical Training Pathway (TTP).
• Develop regional market access and marketing strategies to facilitate the adoption of da Vinci surgery.
• Oversee activities to meet quarterly and annual regional objectives.
• Conduct regular field visits in collaboration with distributor representatives to understand market dynamics, provide coaching, and add value to customers.
• Supervise and support distributor personnel in their operational functions, including hospital procedure coverage, weekly reporting accuracy, and weekly forecasting.
• Build relationships with Global and Regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), reference centers, and epicenters.
• Assess and recommend the presence of Intuitive Surgical at national congresses and symposiums.
• Ensure compliance with operational budgets, expenses, and P&L responsibilities while maintaining an unwavering ethical business approach.
• Over 8 years of experience in senior-level Sales and Marketing roles within the medical device sector.
• Ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of the market, trends, technologies, and opportunities within the geographical area, translating this knowledge into activities that enhance business success.
• Strong leadership capabilities coupled with profound business acumen.
• Familiarity with the operating room environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exemplary and inherent business ethics.
• In-depth knowledge of the culture, customs, and traditions pertinent to the assigned territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a medical-related field is required; advanced degrees are highly preferred.
• Proficiency in English.
• Additional language skills in Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, and Indonesian are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
