This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of Commercial Distribution Managers across various regions.
• Educate and guide distributors on all facets of the clinical business, processes, and capital sales procedures.
• Collaborate with distributors to create business plans that include quarterly system and procedure forecasts to meet or surpass objectives set by senior management.
• Coordinate annual and quarterly business reviews with distribution partners, ensuring appropriate planning and follow-up communication in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Organize and facilitate surgeon training activities through the Technical Training Pathway (TTP).
• Formulate regional market access and marketing strategies to promote the adoption of da Vinci surgery.
• Oversee initiatives to meet regional goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Conduct regular field visits in collaboration with distributor representatives to grasp market dynamics, provide coaching, and deliver value to customers to foster the adoption of Intuitive technology.
• Equip distributor representatives with both new and existing product information, aiding them during the launch and utilization of new products and programs.
• Supervise and support distributor personnel in their operational duties, including procedure coverage at hospitals, maintaining weekly reporting accuracy, and forecasting.
• Cultivate relationships with Global and Regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), as well as establish reference and epicenter sites.
• Assess and recommend the presence of Intuitive Surgical at national congresses and symposiums.
• Adhere to operational budgets, expenses, and P&L responsibilities while maintaining a steadfast ethical business approach.
• Communicate, collaborate, and act as a unified team with the global Intuitive team to enhance the impact of Intuitive products.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in senior-level Sales and Marketing roles within the medical device sector, including distribution network management.
• Proven ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, technology, and opportunities in the designated region, translating this insight into actions that drive business success.
• Strong leadership abilities complemented by significant business acumen.
• Familiarity with the operating room environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exemplary and inherent business ethics.
• Profound understanding of the culture, customs, and traditions within the territory.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related medical field is required; an advanced degree is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, and Indonesian languages is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.
