Director, Clinical Vendor Strategy – Previous Clinical Research Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Oversee Ergomed’s strategy for clinical outsourcing and vendor governance throughout the clinical development portfolio.

• Collaborate with teams in Clinical Operations, Vendor Management, Therapeutic Strategy, Regulatory, Quality, and Finance.

• Champion vendor selection, strategic alliances, and excellence in outsourcing for clinical trial execution.

• Provide guidance from the development of proposals through the transition of studies to operational phases.

• Direct vendor outsourcing strategies for proposals and requests for proposals (RFPs).

• Assess, choose, and recommend vendors based on their capabilities, capacity, global presence, and operational preparedness.

• Enhance supplier relationships, promote cost transparency, and make strategic sourcing decisions.

• Present outsourcing strategies during bid defenses and sponsor meetings.

• Forge supplier partnerships that foster collaboration, innovation, productivity, and ongoing improvement.

• Streamline and scale outsourcing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, predictability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Offer subject matter expertise across Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and other relevant areas.

• Provide insights regarding vendor performance, risks, capacity, and preparedness for portfolio planning.

• Create tools, training programs, and best practices for outsourcing and vendor governance.

• Ensure that outsourced activities adhere to ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies.

• Assist in maintaining inspection readiness and supporting quality initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred advanced degree (at least a Bachelor's: Master's or equivalent).

• Progressive experience in Clinical Operations, Clinical Trial Management, Vendor Oversight, or Outsourcing Management within a CRO, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical setting.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and executing clinical trials across various phases and therapeutic areas.

• Proven track record in developing and implementing vendor outsourcing strategies.

• Experience in supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and business development efforts.

• Strong comprehension of global clinical development processes and outsourced service models.

• Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives, process enhancements, and organizational change initiatives.

• Knowledge of compliance covering ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and organizational policies.
