Director, Business Systems – Sourcing, Procurement, Spend Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Direct the strategy, implementation, and enhancement of Source-to-Pay systems and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of business systems analysts, procurement specialists, and technical professionals, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

• Develop and implement comprehensive spend analytics programs to uncover cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance insights, and strategies for procurement risk mitigation.

• Oversee the integration and management of procurement technology platforms, including ERP systems, e-procurement tools, and analytics solutions.

• Design and execute process enhancements across sourcing, procurement, and vendor management functions to boost efficiency and reduce cycle times.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to align procurement systems with wider business initiatives.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track procurement metrics, spending trends, and system performance.

• Lead vendor management efforts, including contract negotiations, performance assessments, and relationship optimization.

• Advocate for digital transformation and automation initiatives to streamline procurement workflows and improve data visibility.

• Provide executive-level reporting and insights regarding procurement performance, cost savings, and strategic recommendations.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or related business operations.

• 5+ years in a director-level or senior management role with proven leadership of cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of practical experience with Source-to-Pay systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.

• Experience in process optimizations utilizing Agentic AI is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in spend analytics, data analysis, and business intelligence tools.

• Expertise in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud).

• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.

• Proven ability to identify and drive initiatives for cost optimization and savings.
