Director, Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of ARI operations from start to finish—validating rates, defending parity, closing gaps, and managing at-risk inventory—while establishing reporting frameworks and team rhythms to ensure Engine's supply remains robust and quantifiable.

• Develop and implement a connectivity strategy across PMS, CRS, GDS, channel managers, and third-party routing systems—determining feasible integrations and highlighting prioritized options for Product and Engineering teams.

• Oversee Supply API integration initiatives from the initial scoping phase to production, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Supply to enhance reliability, minimize booking failures, and expand the supplier network.

• Act as the operational foundation for Relationship Managers in their support of Chain and Supplier connectivity—translating commercial needs into integration specifications and ensuring that new connectivity is fully operational upon launch.

• Manage intricate, cross-functional programs with precision—ensuring clear ownership, structured escalation procedures, executive oversight, and a relentless focus on achieving results. Keep the internal team aligned and maintain external partner coherence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in driving intricate technical programs across Engineering, Product, and Operations, demonstrating the structure and accountability necessary to advance organizational goals.

• Established Leadership at Senior Levels. You have experience managing relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. You command presence, earn trust swiftly, and foster alignment without relying solely on authority.

• Program Management Excellence at Scale. You possess a proven history of managing complex, multi-workstream programs that span the organization—delivering on time, with clear accountability and measurable results. You focus not just on tracking status but on propelling work forward.

• Technical Acumen. You have a solid understanding of systems, APIs, data flows, and integration architecture, enabling you to engage effectively with Engineering and Product—asking pertinent questions, identifying risks, and holding technical teams accountable.

• Structured Problem-Solver. You can break down ambiguous challenges into clear frameworks. You create the operational model that others can work within.

• Data-Driven Decision Maker. You develop KPI frameworks that inform decisions rather than merely describe past performance. You are adept at navigating Snowflake or similar data environments to extract actionable insights.

• Versatile and Quick Learner. While industry experience in travel, hospitality, or supply systems is advantageous, it is not mandatory. What is essential is your discipline, rigor, and ability to delve deeply into new subjects swiftly.
