This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, develop, and enhance mid-sized acquisition opportunities.
• Support the Tier Business Development Vice President and Area Business Development initiatives.
• Boost overall deal flow within the Tier.
• Expand the opportunity pipeline and seek larger or more strategic prospects.
• Assist in quarterly business development M&A growth strategies by evaluating key acquisition prospects.
• Source and nurture medium and large acquisition opportunities across various Areas.
• Build and sustain relationships with owners, brokers, advisors, and industry contacts.
• Collaborate with Area Business Development Leads to identify, assess, and advance opportunities.
• Maintain oversight of the entire deal portfolio and proactively eliminate execution obstacles.
• Ensure a robust acquisition pipeline and enhance the influx of opportunities.
• Assist with early-stage opportunity evaluation, prioritization, and transaction strategy.
• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among Areas within the Tier.
• Evaluate geographic opportunities utilizing market, SWOT, and competitor analyses.
• Provide support to Area Business Development team members.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must reside in the Western half of the United States.
• Travel requirement of up to 70%.
• Proficiency in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, pro formas, and legal documents.
• Familiarity with WM offerings.
• Ability to present information to WM’s Area and Corporate leadership teams, Sellers, and their advisors.
• Competence in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative for air travel or access to federal properties.
