Director, Business Development – RCA Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and expand partnerships with manufacturers in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and related industries.

• Take ownership of opportunities from start to finish: identifying prospects, shaping solutions, crafting proposals, and executing deals.

• Act as the representative for RCA Insights in high-level discussions with commercial, medical, and research stakeholders.

• Assist in structuring and negotiating deals in collaboration with Business Development, Legal, and executive teams.

• Convert RCA's manufacturing, research, and clinical data into insights that are commercially relevant.

• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Research teams to create differentiated offerings, including scalable product opportunities.

• Ensure that all partnerships and projects adhere to regulatory standards and RCA Research protocols.

• Aid in the development and submission of study protocols, regulatory documents, and deliverables for sponsors.

• Manage the transition from deal closure to operational execution, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.

• Supervise project execution and proactively address issues among stakeholders.

• Assist in financial monitoring, including tracking project performance, coordinating invoicing, and preparing reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an advanced degree (MBA/MPH/MS) is preferred.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial roles within life sciences, healthcare, research services, or data/analytics.

• Proven experience working with manufacturers and pharmaceutical partners, including shaping and supporting partnership or deal structures.

• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to engage credibly with medical and scientific stakeholders.

• Capability to translate intricate clinical, research, and data concepts into compelling commercial value.

• Established cross-functional leadership and project management skills across Research, Analytics, Product, and Legal/Compliance.

• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of real-world evidence (RWE), clinical research services, data/analytics commercialization, familiarity with the clinical trial ecosystem, and experience in build-and-scale settings.
