This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Initiate, coordinate, and devise strategic plans and sales strategies within designated territories or accounts.
• Achieve annual sales targets and objectives.
• Identify new business sales prospects for TFS and collaborate with the internal TFS team to address any inquiries effectively.
• Ensure the TFS team is well-prepared for client meetings.
• Oversee and manage budget or contract negotiations.
• Establish and maintain consistent communication and a strong rapport with both current and prospective clients.
• Organize and prepare for sponsor presentations.
• Gather essential information for proposal development.
• Comprehend the RFI/RFP process and provide comprehensive input and leadership in the RFI response/proposal generation for each initiated opportunity.
• Manage expenses appropriately and submit claims promptly.
• Engage positively with TFS operations personnel, tracking project status for sponsors.
• Monitor and analyze competitor CRO activities.
• Plan and participate in key industry events and tradeshows.
• Develop account strategies and implementation plans, expanding through accounts.
• Identify emerging markets and research new business opportunities.
• Coordinate and oversee activities aimed at client development and retention.
• Collect, compile, analyze, and present data related to business development efforts.
• Document all activities and client interactions in the Customer Relationship Management system (salesforce.com).
• Manage and/or mentor junior members of the business development team.
• Provide input and actively support the Head of Business Development/Vice President/EVP Business Development in their responsibilities.
• Foster open and transparent communication within the business development department and across the broader TFS organization.
• Generate reports as needed for senior management, demonstrating leadership in best reporting practices.
• Conduct all activities in accordance with departmental SOPs and other quality documents.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in clinical research and/or sales.
• Significant sales experience exceeding five years, possessing strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills and team leadership abilities, adept at influencing and guiding multiple stakeholders to meet customer needs.
• Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on results and customer satisfaction.
• In-depth knowledge of TFS/CRO business operations.
• Proficient in computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Awareness of trends, government policies, and regulations related to clinical trials in TFS Group countries.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
• Strong and effective presentation skills, capable of convincingly showcasing features and benefits of services to clients.
• Willingness to travel extensively as required by the business development strategy, including travel within the sales territory and to company meetings.
