This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Collaborate with the VP of Sales to shape the overarching commercial strategy within the designated territory.
• Position Evotec as the preferred partner within the region.
• Ensure a strong presence in the territory, dedicating approximately 40-50% of time to client interactions.
• Target new client acquisition by identifying fresh business opportunities within biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Oversee the complete sales pipeline, which includes territory prospecting, follow-ups, client meetings, proposal development, contract negotiations, and finalization.
• Achieve or surpass designated sales objectives and quarterly KPIs.
• Maintain a comprehensive and accurate sales pipeline within the CRM system.
• Build long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
• Conduct capability presentations, introductory calls/meetings, and needs-assessment discussions.
• Act as the main contact during the pre-award phase and facilitate a smooth transition to Project Management post-award.
• Manage select accounts to foster repeat business and identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
• Stay informed about CRO industry trends, competitive environments, regulatory changes, and client R&D priorities.
• Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, events, and client visits.
• Provide market insights to internal teams to aid in service/product development, commercial strategy, and pipeline planning.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of sales experience, preferably within a CRO, CDMO, biotech service provider, or pre-clinical research environment.
• Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
• Extensive understanding of the discovery and pre-clinical development processes.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently (40% or more).
