Director – Business Development, Commercialization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Pursue in-licensing, distributorship, and various commercialization partnerships.

• Perform due diligence on potential candidates for in-licensing.

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with global partners.

• Oversee the negotiation and finalization of in-licensing agreements.

• Collaborate with pre-commercialization teams to evaluate feasibility.

• Keep track of industry trends to identify and prioritize in-licensing opportunities.

• Develop customized commercialization solutions for new manufacturers.

• Steer cross-functional delivery of RFP recommendations and pricing strategies.

• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to pinpoint regulatory-focused business opportunities.

• Consult with clients to devise regulatory strategies.

• Maintain an extensive database of client relationships.

• Ensure the smooth transition of client expectations to operational teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors.

• Demonstrated success in business development and the in-licensing of pharmaceutical products.

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in sales, marketing, or client-facing roles within the healthcare service sector.

• Familiarity with the Canadian regulatory landscape and processes involved in bringing a pharmaceutical product to market.

• A university degree in Science, Business, Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

• Proven experience in commercialization and regulatory business development.

• Expertise in negotiation and key account management.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Proficient in project and time management.

• Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Bilingualism is a plus.
