This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Development, Chief Commercial Officer, and other senior and executive team members to create a sales strategy and objectives that align with annual company goals.
• Build and nurture client relationships, assess industry trends, and formulate business plans aimed at sustainable growth.
• Identify, engage, and secure new client relationships that correspond with the therapeutic capabilities and clinical trial interests of healthcare organizations.
• Execute initiatives and strategies to meet quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.
• Effectively manage and uphold client relationships, while tracking key events, data, and action items within the company’s CRM system.
• Enhance company visibility in the industry through speaking engagements, consortiums, and strategic initiatives that bolster business development goals and strategies.
• Identify, manage, and participate in industry trade conferences, including overseeing Javara’s presence (e.g., marketing, booth, customer meetings) when appropriate.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Javara's capabilities and service offerings to efficiently identify potential clinical trials.
• Conduct prospecting activities, such as outreach via phone and email, to uncover prospective trial opportunities and manage engagement for procurement.
• Stay updated on the industry landscape, including key strategic biopharma and CRO partnerships, compound development, and overall pipeline trends.
• Utilize contacts and actively network to engage with key individuals who provide access to trials and can influence trial placement.
• Participate in face-to-face sales activities to secure clinical trial opportunities and develop strategic relationships with biopharmaceutical companies.
• Prepare proposals in response to biopharma interest in utilizing Javara’s services, whether general or trial-specific.
• Address inbound inquiries related to Javara services.
• Collaborate with Javara Site Operations, Feasibility, Medical Director, and other leaders to ensure alignment between sales activities and operational capabilities.
• Work in partnership with Legal, Regulatory, and Finance teams (contracts, budgets, regulatory) and Site Operations to facilitate a smooth transition of trials from procurement to delivery.
• Utilize computer and presentation development skills to effectively showcase the company’s capabilities, service offerings, and value proposition.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven business development, strategic account management, or commercial leadership experience in clinical research, CROs, site networks, or clinical trial services organizations.
• A demonstrated history of securing and growing enterprise-level relationships that result in contracts, preferred provider agreements, or strategic partnerships valued at over $20M.
• An established network of executive-level relationships within major pharmaceutical organizations.
• Experience in selling within CROs, site networks, patient recruitment organizations, clinical technology providers, or similar clinical trial service providers.
• Demonstrated capability to navigate complex buying environments with multiple stakeholders, procurement processes, and executive decision-makers.
• Experience in negotiating enterprise agreements, strategic alliances, preferred provider relationships, and multi-study partnerships.
• A comprehensive understanding of site operations, patient recruitment, decentralized clinical trials, healthcare-integrated research models, and sponsor outsourcing strategies.
• Up to 50% travel to conferences.
