This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Collaborate with the VP of Sales to enhance the overall commercial strategy within the designated territory.
• Position Evotec as the preferred partner within the region.
• Maintain a high profile in the territory, dedicating approximately 40-50% of time to client interactions.
• Concentrate on acquiring new clients by spotting new business opportunities with biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
• Oversee the complete sales pipeline, which includes territory prospecting, follow-ups, client meetings, proposal creation, contract negotiations, and closures.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales goals and quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
• Conduct capability presentations, introductory calls/meetings, and needs assessment discussions.
• Act as the main point of contact during the pre-award phase, ensuring a smooth transition to Project Management after the award.
• Manage selected accounts to promote repeat business and identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
• Stay informed about trends in the CRO industry, the competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and client research and development priorities.
• Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, events, and client site visits.
• Provide market insights to internal teams to aid in service/product development, commercial strategies, and pipeline planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of sales experience, preferably within a CRO, CDMO, biotech service provider, or pre-clinical research setting.
• Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
• Comprehensive understanding of the discovery and pre-clinical development processes.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently (40%+).
