This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Director of Business Development - Air Partner Relations will be tasked with formulating strategies that enhance participation from advisors and branches while achieving measurable revenue growth.
• Lead initiatives that fortify supplier partnerships, improve client success, and align with Internova's overarching goals.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure operational excellence and establish GTC as a leader in air and GDS solutions.
• Assist in managing high-level negotiations of GDS hosting agreements with Associate ARC Branches, securing optimal terms and timely financial reconciliation to maximize profitability.
• Propose and implement strategies that connect suppliers and BU clients to drive incremental revenue and improve performance.
• Oversee the onboarding process and integration of Associate ARC branches, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and seamless access to airline agreements.
• Facilitate monthly Air Branch strategy sessions, delivering actionable insights and comprehensive override performance reports to branch owners to identify growth opportunities.
• Act as a primary representative for air programs at company and industry events, effectively communicating program value to clients and supplier partners to foster engagement and loyalty.
• Support the annual budget forecasting for air, car, and GDS revenue streams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market trends.
• Organize quarterly business reviews with supplier partners, providing data-driven performance insights and actionable strategies to address gaps and drive mutual growth.
• Promote sponsorship opportunities and collaborate with events and industry relations teams to maximize funding availability and enhance supplier visibility.
• Assist in managing GDS relationships on behalf of Internova, auditing compliance and ensuring accurate reporting of segment production to Finance.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in the travel industry.
• Strong comprehension of ARC, IATAN, and GDS operations.
• More than 7 years of customer service experience, capable of addressing escalated service issues and encouraging preferred partners to provide resolutions.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing corporate air growth strategies.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable in GDS and NDC.
• Familiarity with Fare Calculation, Fare Distribution, and Fare Rules.
• Understanding of Exchange & Refund processes.
• Extensive knowledge of fare and ticketing.
• Proficient in interpreting fare ladders.
• Familiarity with IATA rules and fare regulations.
• Experience in analyzing competitive fares with optimal commission opportunities.
• Proficient in commission contract terminology and its application.
• Strong quantitative skills for analyzing and evaluating proposals/contracts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for members and headquarters.
• Excellent communication skills, including presentation and writing abilities.
• Highly organized and efficient individual with a sharp attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
