This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Provide leadership and oversight for all billing submissions, invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls.
• Supervise the tracking, validation, and submission of ancillary fees for invoicing, guaranteeing that all billable revenue is captured and collected.
• Monitor accounts receivable performance, aging, and DSO targets; collaborate with Finance on issue resolution and escalation as necessary.
• Ensure the consistent application of billing and collections policies and procedures across products, clients, and acquired businesses.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the retirement TPA market, including revenue models, fee structures, fee repositories, ancillary fees, and prevalent billing practices.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate revenue generation, prevent revenue leakage, and address billing-related risks.
• Assist with repricing, fee changes, and client-specific billing updates by ensuring operational readiness and precise execution.
• Lead and develop managers who supervise teams responsible for billing, invoicing, and collections processing.
• Promote consistency in team performance, training, quality control, and workload management across various locations.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in line with organizational values.
• Identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and risk areas within billing and collections processes; spearhead initiatives to enhance accuracy, scalability, and client experience.
• Ensure that workflows and procedures are documented, maintained, and supported by appropriate quality control measures.
• Partner with Finance and Audit teams to facilitate external audits and compliance requirements.
• Act as the primary operational contact for billing and collections issues with Operations, Service, Sales, and Finance teams.
• Support the integration of billing, invoicing, and collections processes for newly acquired businesses.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, or revenue operations, ideally within a retirement plan TPA or financial services setting.
• Strong grasp of TPA billing models, fee repositories, ancillary fees, and revenue workflows.
• Proven experience in leading managers and scaling operational teams.
• Demonstrated capability to drive process improvements, enhance controls, and mitigate operational risks.
• Experience supporting acquisition integration and audit activities is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
