This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive and achieve corporate revenue goals within established timelines and budget limits.
• Ensure that the volume, market share, and sales fundamentals (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving) are fulfilled for designated customers at the lowest possible expense.
• Meet objectives while reducing selling costs and maximizing company income through brokerage, commissions, bonuses, and contest rewards.
• Efficiently manage manufacturers' spending at the customer level.
• Develop and present comprehensive business plans, articulating principals' priorities to various managers and the retail sales team to meet in-store presence and business goals.
• Establish and nurture excellent business relationships with all customers, actively engaging with key decision-makers.
• Act as the primary contact for customer-specific concerns, including Category Management, Consumer Shopping Behavior, and Promotions Strategies.
• Create systems for managing trade-marketing funds in accordance with company guidelines and policies, with the aim of minimizing sales-related deductions.
• Offer guidance and support to Business Managers in managing their accounts and enhancing their comprehension of principal accounts.
• Maintain outstanding relationships with principals, representing the company on critical issues and leveraging multi-functional resources for business advantages.
• Cultivate relationships with key manufacturers to identify new business opportunities and enhance principals' business.
• Utilize strong analytical skills, including Category Management, to boost business results and remain informed about industry trends.
• Exhibit leadership qualities that align with the company's culture, and develop and supervise the performance of assigned Business Managers.
• Undertake special projects as requested, ensuring all physical requirements are fulfilled.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proven experience in a sales role with a food broker or major national company.
• Prior experience must showcase sales abilities with a successful track record in managing and directing others.
• Experience with CVS or within the drug channel is preferred.
• Proficient in various software applications that support the sales function.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills are essential.
• Capacity to analyze sales and marketing data to create effective sales presentations.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• This role necessitates driving on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing; therefore, any DUI/DWI conviction within the last 36 months will automatically disqualify the applicant.
