This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and strategize the vision, organizational framework, operational policies, and procedures for secure product development.
• Identify and manage the implementation of architectural solutions that improve software security through standardization and reuse.
• Define, create, scale, enhance, and oversee the security technology and tooling platform.
• Design and execute automated controls and tools to maximize operational efficiency.
• Develop and oversee security processes and the security organization.
• Establish checks and balances to meet corporate security objectives and goals.
• Act as an authority in data security and privacy while implementing regulatory compliance standards.
• Direct the security development lifecycle, including the triage of security defects and the review of mitigation and remediation strategies.
• Manage external communications regarding identified or reported security defects.
• Oversee the escalation of software security incidents and the conduct of security reviews.
• Provide executive summary reports to leadership on assurance metrics, attack surface, testing, defensive coverage, and outstanding risks.
• Establish a data-driven decision-making framework and monitor performance against objectives.
• Supervise performance and compensation for direct reports.
• Offer coaching and development opportunities.
• Manage and track emerging security technologies to uphold security and compliance standards.
• At least 15 years of experience in software product development.
• A minimum of five years of experience in managing corporate application and product security programs and teams.
• At least five years of experience in overseeing a Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDL) for a large development organization.
• Technical proficiency in contemporary development languages and cloud platforms.
• Outstanding skills in driving product security initiatives and delivering software security effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Advanced interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Capability to foster a collaborative team environment and lead consensus-building efforts.
• Experience in building, developing, and leading highly effective security teams.
• Leadership skills to guide and inspire a team.
• Exceptional follow-through and customer service capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with management across the organization.
• Experience in identifying and addressing technology risk considerations in new and modified software.
• Familiarity with enforcing procedures and standards for audit and compliance requirements.
• Experience in providing executive summary reports on assurance metrics, attack surface inventory, and open risks.
• Experience in managing emerging technologies within the security domain.
