Director, Analytics Infrastructure – Pipeline Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop intelligent, self-healing data pipelines that utilize AI/ML for automated monitoring of data quality, anomaly detection, and remediation.

• Construct and sustain centralized feature stores that facilitate feature reusability across various models and applications.

• Create optimized curated data repositories for data science/AI workflows, which include training datasets, evaluation datasets, and production serving layers.

• Develop automated feature engineering pipelines that convert raw data into features ready for analytics, complete with lineage tracking.

• Collaborate with Enterprise IT to enhance the architecture of analytics platforms for high-performance data science tasks.

• Build automated pipelines that aggregate diverse data sources such as sales, CRM, patient claims, real-world evidence, and unstructured data.

• Establish self-service data access layers that empower data scientists and analysts to independently query and extract data.

• Set SLAs for data availability, freshness, and quality; implement monitoring and observability solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in data engineering, ML/AI engineering, or analytics infrastructure.

• More than 5 years of experience leading teams to build enterprise-scale data platforms and feature stores.

• Expert-level knowledge of feature store technologies including Feast, Tecton, SageMaker Feature Store, and Databricks Feature Store.

• Extensive expertise in modern data platforms that are optimized for ML workloads such as Databricks, Auto ML, Snowflake, and BigQuery.

• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark for large-scale data processing.

• Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, and dbt, as well as CI/CD for data pipelines.

• Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR), and compliance within the life sciences sector.
