This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Produce innovative and compelling content that delivers essential insights.
• Generate fresh ideas and insights through strategic thought leadership.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses to uncover the underlying causes of client challenges or needs.
• Exhibit thought leadership by establishing insights positions across a team of analysts.
• Research, analyze, and forecast market trends and shifts to offer actionable insights to clients and vendors.
• Provide actionable recommendations to clients and prospects that align with sourcing strategies, contract structures, negotiation planning, licensing optimization, and software/SaaS commercial decision-making.
• Design and present high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, professional association meetings, and both in-person and virtual client briefings.
• Offer sales support as the voice of the market to assist Insights teams in content creation and enhancing client engagement.
• Establish credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner’s insights, methodologies, and strategies.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to foster their development.
• Maintain a client-centric approach, actively seeking to engage clients frequently with Gartner insights and interactions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years of relevant field or industry experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in SaaS/software contract negotiations, technology procurement, category management, vendor management, or software asset management within buying organizations, outsourcing firms, consulting agencies, or resellers.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience negotiating Salesforce renewals.
• Expertise in Salesforce licensing.
• Desired experience in software license compliance risk assessment, management, and mitigation within a software audit context, especially concerning Salesforce.
• Desired experience in negotiating and managing major vendors (e.g., AWS, Google, SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, or ServiceNow).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
• Proven excellence in research and writing capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside analytical and presentation abilities; capable of engaging clients and responding effectively to inquiries.
• Proficient in data analysis and synthesis; adept at applying patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to address client challenges.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies at all organizational levels.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
